1. WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
We have very competitive rates. Please call or fill out our contact form for further information.
2. ARE THERE ANY MINIMUM FEES?
We have a minimum billing of twenty-five ($25.00) dollars per case. However, if there is no savings on a bill, we do not charge just for the review.
3. CAN YOU EXPLAIN THAT A LITTLE FURTHER?
If the charges from a service provider are relatively within reason, over-all, we will "fax" a copy of the HCL-1500 stamped "O.K. to pay as is. American Medical Auditors."
4. DO YOU HAVE OUTSIDE AUDIT ASSISTANCE?
Yes! We utilize only registered nurses, and on a case by case basis we consult specialists, such as Orthopedic Surgeons, Neuro-Surgeons, Psychiatric Doctors, as well as a Chiropractic Doctor. This way we are able to provide you with a "Retrospective Review by a Peer".
5. WHAT IS YOUR TURN-AROUND TIME?
We normally work on a case within four (4) hours of the time we receive it. You can normally expect to have our finished report on your desk within seven (7) days from the time that you actually mailed or faxed it to us!!
6. WHAT IS YOUR EXPERIENCE LEVEL WITH "JONES ACT" CASES?
We are one of a small handful of companies, nationwide, with expertise handling "Jones Act" cases. We have been doing "Jones Act" cases for over ten years and almost eighty-five (85%) percent of our current case load is Maritime.
7. DO YOU OFFER ANY UNUSUAL SERVICES, OR, DO YOU DO ANYTHING DIFFERENT FROM OTHER AUDIT COMPANIES?
Yes! Unlike other audit companies, we do not just send you a report. We make every effort to negotiate with the service provider to get a "Signed Agreement". This makes the job of the adjuster and/or attorney a lot easier. We have been ninety (90%) percent successful in this endeavor, and, to the best of our knowledge, A.M.A. is the only audit company performing this task. Additionally, our report will provide the name of the person with whom the bill was negotiated.
